Dear Lacey… If you want success then you have to be willing to do whatever it takes

I miss this person.

Dear Lacey,

As you probably know by now, I’m a very determined and passionate person. Nothing I enjoy and can benefit from will be done half arsed, not my writing, not my videos, not my work, nothing will be done half arsed because then, I will only get halfway to where I want to be and that’s not good enough for me so it shouldn’t be good enough for you either. Give everything your all. This is how you will succeed.

However, it’s not going to happen overnight. You will fail so many times but every time you fail, you will also learn and grow. Take everything in, what worked, what didn’t work? Why did you fail and how can you stop this happening again? Keep going. Don’t settle for a mediocre anything. Work for the best and eventually, you’ll get there. You will need persistence and patience and trust me, you’ll burn out and have days where you will wish you never started your journey at all. Don’t quit. You are no quitter. It doesn’t matter what you choose to do in life, just make sure you do it to the best of your ability.

I want to see you go far in life and as your oldest sister, I will do whatever I can to help you. From pep talks to a physical participation, I will help you reach whatever dream you have. But heed my warning, success takes a lot of sacrifice. You’ve got to be willing to wake up an hour earlier to get things done, say no to that weekend out to reach deadlines, spend money on resources, put love interests on hold, put your route to success first. If it doesn’t come first then you’re slowing your own process, take a break but don’t get distracted.

“Wake up early. Drink coffee. Work hard. Be ambitious. Keep your priorities straight, your mind right and your head up. Do well, live well and dress really well. Do what you love, love what you do. It’s time to start living.”

Go out and get what you want, Moosh.
